Mr. Flavius Covaci

Hello! I'm Flav, a first-class English Literature graduate from Oxford with an interest in queer temporality. My work has been published by Cherwell, The Turl, Hot Pot Magazine, Erasmus Journal, and The Isis Magazine—having served as Editor-in-Chief of the latter, the longest-running student publication in the UK. I was also President of Oxford Poetry Society and editor of the 2025 poetry anthology, The Ash: Hourglass. I am currently a trustee for Educate2Youth, a youth advocacy charity, and occasionally offer tutoring in Humanities subjects.

I have extensive experience mentoring students in creative writing, English Language and Literature, interdisciplinary Humanities courses, History, EPQ, Oxbridge admissions, and general exam preparation—from lower secondary school all the way to the undergraduate level—so I'm excited to potentially work with you on any of the above.

Tutoring is a brilliant opportunity to not only consolidate your understanding of the curriculum but also expand your learning beyond it. Here, you have more one-on-one time with someone personally closer to the student experience than your school teachers, and the chance to develop ideas at your own pace—without the pressure of the classroom. I am particularly keen to foster long-lasting professional relationships with all my students, and I look forward to delivering stimulating, engaging, and dynamic lessons.
